In this moment, Jordan Peterson tells us all about the importance of struggle. Presenting his controversial view, he says that we aren’t born with our virtues, they’re rather forged in adversity. Because it isn’t the destination, it’s the journey that takes us there. What people don’t know about Jordan is that he’s from a small town, in an oil town where alcoholism is very prevalent. Out of this Jordan had to find himself, forge himself. The values he lives by today, the vow he took with his wife never to lie to her, the desire to conduct himself with integrity in all his actions, aren’t abstract concepts, they’re hard taught lessons.
